BIMM Brighton graduate Simon Davis has found great success in Singapore as the founder and CEO of Mighty Bear Games.

Having originally studied a BA Hons in Professional Musicianship – Guitar in Brighton, Simon has since moved into the competitive world of computer game programming.

In November 2016, having accrued significant experience in various areas of the industry, Simon relocated to Singapore to launch his own studio, Mighty Bear Games. The company has since acquired over S$1 Million in pre-seed funding from outside investors Global Founders Capital, Skycatcher and RocketInternet – a figure made doubly impressive by the fact that their first product was still in the developmental stages when the deal was made.

Despite graduating back in 2006, Simon remembers his student days very well and claims he wouldn’t have formed such a keen business-mind if it weren’t for his time spent studying at BIMM.

“I can honestly say that I probably wouldn’t be CEO of an investor-funded games studio if I hadn’t gone to BIMM and studied with them. Learning from them changed my life by affecting the way I approached work in terms of focus, attention to detail and generally getting things done with no excuses.”
