Since leaving BIMM Dublin, Fontaines D.C. have carved out a reputation for raw and energetic live shows, poignant lyricism, and a sound that blends post-punk grit with atmospheric melodies. Their fourth album, Romance, hit number two in the UK, selling more than twice as many copies in its first week as Skinty Fia, which debuted at number one.

At BIMM Dublin, the band developed their sound, drawing inspiration from its surroundings and each other. They have often credited Dublin’s rich musical heritage and DIY spirit as key influences in shaping their music

This second BRIT Award win is just the latest in a series of achievements that have seen them headline festivals, tour the world, and receive a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.

A huge congratulations to Fontaines D.C., who constantly set the example of what it means to push boundaries, stay authentic, and take Irish music to the global stage.
