Colleen Heavey
Songwriting Tutor
Colleen Heavey is a songwriter, composer, producer, sound engineer, and DJ. She holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Music & Media Technology. She has toured internationally with post-punk band Brass Phantoms and produces electropop music under her solo project Throatsugar, under Recreationist Records.
She is an experienced musical educator of both adults and children. While mainly within the Songwriting department, Colleen also extends her teaching into the Live Performance, Vocals, Theory, and MA departments. She regularly DJs at Dublin’s most well-known metal, rock, and alternative venues.
